The fist ever efoil race in Istria, Croatia goes off, after an amazing event hosted in conjunction with the Istra Tourist Board the Weekend Outdoor Festival supports the development of E-foil racing in the area and the new era of E-Sports that allows us to run a highly competitive, cutting edge, race event inside a national park and Unesco site without any noise, disturbance or pollution. Comptitors and participant of the event came from all over the world with riders travelling from the UK, France, Spain, Australia and the USA to compete it was a great meeting of the community, for some peoples first ever race, to the experience of Tom Court, competing for the last two years in our finals in Dubai.

However, with the likes of Nick Baumgardner, a current US Olympic gold medalist in Snowboarding boarder-cross and Martin Noerl from the Germany Snowboarding team, it really brought a cutting edge competitive attitude to the race itself. With a one day track practice for the riders to get used to the Istria Lullefoil track and the race directors to tweak the last track design. Followed by a day of time trials to set the rankings for the main head to head competion, the standard was set the highest yet. One again, the Efoil Racing League track design saw riders competing for a sub 1 minute track lap, with two laps counting in the head to head rounds. A static start in the entry box, testing the riders all round skill from flat water starts, to technical cornering and top speeds… It was a showdown as all the riders improved over the course of the event.

The final results for the event where closely contested as all the riders improved, with Manuel Arpa taking out Tom Court in the battle for 1st and 2nd and Nick Baumgardner coming in a close 3rd place for his first ever eFoil race, making steps away from snow sports and into the eFoil world!
